Versus trying to do what you aren’t as comfortable with but might be a weakness of the opponent.

Just using today as an example, I saw Myers repeatedly keep his left arm back on his hip which I believe was to negate DeSanto’s go-to attack. Latona appeared to be backing up constantly but I believe he was trying to maintain distance from Lamont to avoid upper body positions and try to use his length advantage to get in on shots. Neither of those guys won, so does that mean the scouting was bad? I wouldn’t necessarily say so, as sometimes there are just very difficult matchups.

Keckeisen is a freshman and I didn’t get to see any of his matches all season, so I don’t know what the scouting report might have been on him. That said, Bolen had a chance to convert on some scrambled at the end of periods. From my POV, he lost a SV match that could’ve gone either way and then wore out against Geer. I didn’t see any glaring flaws in the game plans though.
